Constructed in 1894, this four-story masonry type warehouse was once described as the strongest structure built in Wichita. The warehouse was built with massive timbered columns, high ceilings and heavy wood floor joists. The north and east facades have a corbelled brick cornice beneath the parapet wall, the west facade is also corbelled near last the cornice, but without the parapet. The Wholesale Grocery Warehouse is the oldest and remaining multistoried warehouse in the old Wichita Central Business District, now know as "Old Town.
