Jenkins Cottage
1704 N. Fairview

Built in 1894, for G. W. Jenkins, this small Folk Victorian Queen Anne cottage is an excellent example of the type of homes owned by blue collar or working class people at the turn of the century.

Folk Victorian homes typically represent a simple folk house form adorned with Victorian decorative detailing. The cottage has extremely ornate ginger bread trim and detailing on it's gabled pediments, porch brackets and pillars.
